Dr. Mabel Torréns

Dr. Mabel Torréns is a chemist with more than 15 years of experience working in research. Her main areas of expertise
are on materials synthesis and the development of electrochemical sensors. She is currently a researcher at the Barcelona Institute for Microelectronics (IMB-CNM-CSIC) where she works on the technological development of electrochemical sensors for water contaminants.

Tom Williams

With 30 years experience in the Global Water sector, Tom has worked introducing sensing technologies to the Utility and Industrial sectors from San Francisco to Sydney. As British Waters current International Chair, Tom has a wealth of experience working on water quality on in the USA, Europe and Asia.

Dr. César Fernández-Sánchez

Dr. César Fernández-Sánchez is a chemist and currently a Scientific Researcher at the Barcelona Institute for Microelectronics (IMB-CNM) belonging to the Spanish Research Council (CSIC). With over 20 years of experience in academic research, his main area of expertise is on the development of miniaturized analytical tools integrating electrochemical sensors applied to health biomarker detection and environmental monitoring.

Dr. Martí Gich

Dr. Martí Gich is a physicist and tenured researcher at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). With experience in industrial research at Saint-Gobain, he develops nanocomposites and magnetic oxides for environmental and ICT applications. Currently, he is the recipient of one of the prestigious ERC Conslidator grants and Deputy Director at Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Barcelona.
